An initiative for high
school students to
receive college credit
|
|
 Kentucky
high school students can now receive both high school and college
credit for the same course or block of courses offered at West
Kentucky Community and Technical College.
West Kentucky Community and Technical College has developed
dual credit and articulation agreements with high schools and
area technology centers in the West Kentucky district. Students
who are concurrently enrolled in high school and our college
may earn both high school and college credit (dual credit) for
the same course, upon completion of course requirements.
Students who enroll in college courses while still in high school
realize many benefits, such as; developing a college transcript
while still a high school student, experiencing a college curriculum,
shortening the amount of time they will actually spend as a
full time college student, realizing a financial benefit by
not having to attend formal college classes, eliminating the
need to stand in registration lines to enroll in a college class,
and optimizing resources provided by the community and technical
college.
